A smokescreen, war rhetoric or psychological warfare is present, but to what extent? However when judging by the pipelines, what is happening rather than macho blustering, Bush wants Iran.

With all that I am seeing and what Tariq Ali says I think that if Bush does go for Iran any time in the near future it will a gamble with odds much more against us than Iraq ever was. Things are speeding up on many fronts though. The Chinese moving an army seven times the size of what we have in Iraq to their borders. Russians making significant arms deals with Syria and threatening force if the U.S. installs weapons in space and lots more. Jeez. Most people I talk to are totally clueless as to how fast this is all progressing. However before the invasion of Iraq the Europeans seemed pretty informed. That seems different to me at this point. Most are seeming pretty clueless to me. At least the ones I have beeen meeting and talking to over the last several weeks.
