goodluck, don't be apologetic about Israel's "preemptive" strike in 1967, the Israeli did not fire the first shot, war was declared by Nasser by three acts recognized internationally as acts of war, closing two international water ways to Israeli shipping (the Suez canal and the Sharm al Sheikh straits where big naval guns (the 12" type) actually shot at an Israeli vessel) and the third act was the forced evacuation of the UN forces from the Sinai (posted there as part of the armistice agreement of the 1956 war). These were open act of war (without the daily speeches by Nazer and Saddam as to how in the next few weeks they will throw the zionists to the sea...). Israel was not the aggressor, not in that war not in the prior two wars nor in the wars that followed.
