What are those Zionist in England have to do with that, there was no Jewish terror within England pre 1947. In Pre Israel Palestine, there were two jewish "terrorist" organizations, one the Lehi (about 300 members) engaging in random killing of British policeman and soldiers, and Etzel which targeted military installations. Both were put out of business within months of the declaration of the State of Israel by Ben Gurion, exactly what Arafat promised he'll do with the various Palestinian terror organizations, if the Israeli armed his militsia, which the Israeli did, but Arafat did not keep his part of the bargain.

If those Palestinians terrorist's goal is a Palestinian state on the west bank and Gaza, they were offered such a state, they turned it down (numerous times). The problem is that those organizations want a Palestinian state "from the river (Jordan) to the sea" (and that is from their own charters and pronouncements, not some Sharon promulgated propaganda), and that is asking for the dismantling of Israel, which Israel should fight by all its means, including helicopters and tanks. When you fight you must fight to win, not create another Vietnam with "limited" fighting.

The terrorists have two choice, accept the existence of the State of Israel in "secure boundaries" (meaning no post Palestinian State creation excursion into Israel for terrorist attacks), or be arrested and jailed. When refusing an arrest with arms run the risk of being killed in the process. You are writing as if there were no incessant efforts for the last 55 years to give the Palestinians the means for national expressions within their own state. It started in 1947, when the UN decided on partition and two states, rejected by Palestinians and neighboring Arab nations, resulting in the Palestinian state being occupied by Jordan and Egypt. These two powers had ample time (20 years) to grant the Palestinians their "National aspirations" in the form od an independent state, why did they not?
