It is easy to criticize the current Israeli response to two years of wanton murder. For a very long period, the Israeli provided a very rational framework for improving the relationships, that was responded to with murder of children at discos, and just yesterday, murder of youngsters assembling for a shabbat meal. The soft approach has not worked, and the emergence of El Quaeda and our response to it is bringing forth the approach that terrorists cannot be negotiated with, they can only be eradicated.
