Source for anecdotal data = hearsay from a stockblogger with no background in science.
Patrick Cox has significant background in science and is a respected part of a network including top researchers who have become his teachers.
Research data in question is less important than hearsay about the forementioned research data, (i.e. opinions from those with conflicts of interest.)
All data, anecdotal, and standard scientific is important. It's up to us to think about it and weigh it. I weigh the observations of skilled practitioners very highly.
Interpretations of poorly generated data about the research is less relevant than the opinion of the stockblogger, (i.e. only believe the data interpretations when positive.)
Your definition of Patrick Cox is "stockblogger", mine is intelligent and diligent researcher whose findings and opinions are of great significance to me.
We won't settle this, I know, and that's why there's a market with prices going up and down.
