I used to have Sharebuilder like about 2 years ago and they only charged regular commission to buy any type of stock. The $300 you mentioned really surprised me, is that a recent change? They might be getting ready to abandon penny stocks altogether, much like TDA is doing. I gave up on SB when they started restricting stocks available for purchase, those fees seem like they are trying to discourage investments in these type of securities...ddk
