I don't know about you, of course, but I would expect you don't put much more stock (sic) in analysts' specific price targets than I do. Ditto for economists' projections (or for that matter the "scientific consensus" on the effects of climate change or the dating of peak oil (depending how you define it, to be sure...)).

Not to say I don't look at all these things, but IMO they're just data points in stories that have way too many variables, very much including unrecognized variables, for any given version to be anything more than randomly correct.
