can you imagine if some high level AMERICAN financial people were part of the plan to take down the WTC in order to reap financial benefit from bringing them down, and/or hide/destroy a paper trail contained within those buildings?

Personally, I cannot imagine that. I restrict my fantasy reading to novels.
