I am pretty sure investment banking is 100% different than applying for a home mortgage. It is probably more like applying for support from venture capitalists... show a strong business model/business plan to convince the VC's that there is a high potential. Now that I think about it, I bet most/all of the information on the website is due to him/them having it prepared for the VC's/Banks. That sort of information doesn't happen over night either, so you know that they definitely put in a strong effort.
