Motorsports Designs, the company that revolutionized the world of race graphics with the introduction of vinyl graphics to NASCAR, will showcase its latest innovation, RaceWrapsTM, during Speedweeks 2005 at Daytona International Speedway. RaceWrapsTM is a new, innovative system that combines sheets of printed adhesive-backed vinyl with an application process that completely changes a race car’s appearance in less than 3 hours. The RaceWrapsTM system enables Motorsports Designs’ 3M Certified Installers to change race cars from one graphic scheme to another without ever entering the paint booth. The quick turnaround time is ideal for specialty and back-up race cars and trucks. RaceWrapsTM is completely removable with no damage to the original paint and/or original decals. RaceWrapsTM by Motorsports Designs is now being used regularly by many of the top Nextel, Busch, and Craftsman race teams in NASCAR.

The first completely wrapped race car in NASCAR was done by Motorsports Designs in 1997. The company wrapped several complete chrome race cars that year for Darrell Waltrip to celebrate his 25th Anniversary in racing. Motorsports Designs also wrapped a complete gold chrome race car for the NASCAR Winston Cup Banquet in New York in 1998 to commemorate NASCAR’s 50th Anniversary. Thus, the beginning for what is now known as the company’s RaceWrapsTM.
