PGA Tour Commissioner Joins KB Homes Board

KB Homes Adds PGA Tour Commissioner Timothy W. Finchem to Board of Directors


LOS ANGELES (AP) -- KB Homes, one of the nation's largest homebuilders, has added PGA Tour commissioner Timothy W. Finchem to its board of directors, the company said Wednesday.
Finchem will also offer the Los Angeles-based company valuable experience as it seeks to develop golf course communities, KB Home Chairman and CEO Bruce Karatz said in a statement.

Finchem, an attorney and Illinois native, is the third commissioner of the PGA Tour. He joined the organization in 1987 as vice president of business affairs, then served as the tour's deputy commissioner and chief operating officer until 1994, when he was appointed commissioner.

Finchem has been credited with expanding earnings opportunities for PGA Tour players.
