I have no idea who the GOP fruntrunner is or if there is even a frontrunner, and neither does the GOP which is a growing problem for them...With the phony preacher man taking himself out of consideration (surprise, surprise!) the door is open for Michele Bachman to appeal to his biggest supporters - evangelical christians. Although the state of Iowa, the first primary caucus state, gets lots of attention by the media it's interesting to note a candidate who "wins" Iowa does not win the WH - mainly because Iowa does not represent the average US voter.

There was a scathing column by Dana Milbank in yesterday's (Sunday) Wash Post on Mitt Romney - actually the twin Mitt Romneys...one twin who favored mandated health insurance; the other twin who NOW does not...one twin who favored pro-choice; the other twin who NOW does not...one twin who said he was "more liberal than Ted Kennedy"; the other twin who NOW wants to be seen as conservative - Will Mitt Romney CANNOT be trusted! There's an article in the Boston Globe detailing Will's (his legal first name) activity after he lost the 2008 presidential primary - through family contacts with the Marriot hotel family, Mitt got a "job" with the hotel chain and how his Marriott "job" enriched his (future) campaign coffers - Mitt is nothing if not consistent...Will Mitt Romney CANNOT be trusted!
Another flavor of the week for the GOP is thrice-married Newt Gingrich, truly a despicable person who relies on granade throwing for attention. If the so-called religious right wing Repubs (GOP base who votes in primaries) goes for this guy, they will finally have proven themselves devoid of any ethics!
Also-rans include Jon Huntsman, Pres Obama's former Ambassador to China...Huntsman has $$$ but is not well-known...be assured the Obama admin will praise the work he did FOR Obama if he rises to the top of GOP contenders!
Another also-ran is little-known Mitch Daniels, budget director for the GW Bush admin for 2.5 years - Daniles carries personal baggage, but what is of most concern is how the books were cooked during the Bush years!
Forget about Donald Trump, pronounced "dead" the night of the White House correspondant's dinner - he was shown to be the fool his is.

Leaders in the GOP hope for a dark horse to emerge, proving Pres Obama will be difficult to beat in 2012.
