You say there,s not enough gold to go on a gold standard, lets look at this in two ways. First, the price of the DOW and gold met at $800 in 1980 (today that would be gold at $12,672) This meeting of the DOW and gold also happened about 80 years ago also. Second, About 1973 gold was $35 an ounce and today it,s at $1510 ($1510 divided by $35 equals 43). Now take that same 43 X $1510 and you get GOLD at $64,715. Will history repeat itself, I don,t know but never say never.

Just for fun take $37 silver X 43 and you get $1591. I think a gold and silver standard is possible but uncle sam would have to go on a big diet.
