I believe that pre-diabetes was defined to be a patient being above either of the new criteria (FBG>100 or HbA1C>6.0). But as I mentioned I'd need to check. Obviously these new criteria (a decade ago pre-diabetes was FBG>105 and hba1c wasn't used) criteria inflate the numbers but I believe they are reasonable changes. That said I need to spend more time researching it.
