If it has an snappy acronym and can employ some well-educated bureaucrats, the Europeans are down with it.

One of the most surreal and hilarious experiences of my life was taking a class at the Sorbonne on the history of the European Union, 4 months of this metrosexual professor spouting acronym after acronym in French

"sey-euh-sey-ah... sey-euh... ee-sey-sey... euh-sey... sey-oh-air-euh-pay-euh-air..."
