Joe is the CEO, on whose authority, who is the 'they' that voted him in? Joe is no more the CEO than you or I am at this point in time. By the time all this is resolved, maybe Joe will be CEO, who knows, who cares, I will be gone from this stinking pig like a lot of our fellow shareholders!
