Peter, you do recall correctly that this was the model originally used. But, even though this model is the best out there, it has really not been all that specific and has not been unequivocally validated in that agents that work in the clinic all work in this model, but more importantly there are many false positives in this model. Such is life with CNS models in both inflammatory brain diseases and in several neurospychiatric areas. I know I was being a bit harsh, but the false positive and false negative problems in these areas can be huge and lead one astray.
