I don't think you're right. Somebody does not always know something. I do this for a living and every single day a stock ends up trading a massive amount of shares more than it did the day before, the week before, or it ever has. Look at today's big volume movers. No offense, but what you say is just false. It's somewhat intuitive. Lots of people say it. It sounds good, but it's not always or even often the case.
