No one is going to build a 10 Gig pipe for the next ipad. But looking at the charter of IRON, and University research in Cloud Computing, maybe it has something to do with this:

Also, Needs for Cities 'First Responders', Business, ect may conclude that the best way to get it ALL done is with a combination of Fiber and virtual fiber channels.This would be a really great way to build out. It also might draw some attention.

So, I would say the next city announced would be Seattle WA, home of the University of Washington.
