Paula, whenever Bollingers contract it means that price is
stagnating for one reason or another. The issue or index might
be consolidating previous gains, "resting" before another move,
or bumping against a difficult obstruction. I think BTK is
currently in the third category.

Right now BTK is in a short down-channel -- which may or may
not turn out to be a bull-flag. The down-channel comes off
the end of a moderate-length rising wedge. The rising wedge,
in turn, was a (failed) attempt to break out of a big
symmetrical triangle. The symmetrical triangle has been
building for several months in an attempt to break through the
bottom of a really, massively huge descending triangle.

See, it's all just a matter of geometry. {G}
