You are correct - no one but the MM's know what the short interest in KLIC and just a quick glance at the chart tells you that it is extremely unlikely to be remotely similar to the most recent NAZ report.

The short interest is an area which needs reform, so that the information is made available to the public on a more timely basis. Even more interesting, I would like to know the Specialist/MM short interest in various stocks, but now I'm dreaming.
