geopressure,You have some fasinating insites, very in the know regards this industry. Over the years I have heard mention of wells that they let run and lost for lack of control. The well they lost in New Founland was a big let down. The PPs hasent really budged in a good 7 years as they are doing asll they can to recapitulate,(NADA). On the spacing I followed a company that has lots of stuff in the GULF,for some fluke of reason they started to buy up shallow gas wells they did very well and got the acreage reduced to 20 acres. So i am familiar with these happenings. This BV deep well reminds me of PauPau NG. They lost a gas well there as the pressure went balistic, you cant imagine. As they did report, the reserves looks to give higher reading levels as more work is performed. The only Deep well I know of that didnt really payoff avter hitting big in the 48, was southern Calif. As you said it is huristic as long as the workover ops are cool calm and extremly great at working these HPHTs like some of the crew is saying I also think PPs will sag until good report comes from workover crew. Your post bring back memories for me over the years of my DDing, anything you have to say to me regarding well drilling, just give it to me.
