The reason...

Vale has not ruled out that area yet. Plain and simple. So to say that it means absolutely nothing is wrong.

They dropped the other areas because their geologists have determined that these areas are not promising. Once they get more information on the other areas they will assess whether to keep those claims too.

My opinion, but based on actual experience too.
