MUNDELEIN, Ill., April 27, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Circle Group Holdings (Amex: CXN) today announced that it is adapting its Mini Raman Lidar System (MRLS) to provide a unique detection mechanism for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) applications based upon recent interest from the defense industry. Circle Group holds the worldwide rights to the MRLS, which it acquired from the Department of Energy - Brookhaven. MRLS has the capability of detecting both trace contaminants and bulk chemicals or weapons agents such as Anthrax. Other potential UAV uses include chemical spills, terrorist attacks, mapping a contamination area, counter narcotics efforts, hazardous material detection, toxic waste site inspection, battlefield detection and border detection.
