Sure from a shareholder standpoint it does become somewhat of a clouded issue. However, options have a significant and powerful psychological effect on employees. Sure you can pay cash bonuses; however the entire point of options or restricted stock is that your compensation is a directly correlated to the perofrmance of a comapny and it's stock price. If company performs well and milestones are achieved you as a director, sales op, researcher etc will be rewarded handsomely for your commitment, hardwork and longevity. You can't give bonuses with strings attached; bonuses are short term.

Believe me I regret having left a company prematurely and leaving many hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table with options taht hadn't yet vested. Sure I made some serious cash and bonus but all said and done it would have been ten fold higher with the options.

I have NO problem with directors and officers being incentivized with options. In the end the idea is to grow the value of the stock. I appreciate that MNTA is taking action with the mcopax incentive plan. This to me shows that directors realize the value that the officers have and will continue to provide.

MNTA is still the first and only company to get enoxaparin approved. That is a feat in and of itself.

Also who is to say that with the new mcopax incentive plan the officers don't find it even more important now than ever to get a FOB program partnership in place to increase the share in the near term so that when mcopax is approved the pps will pop above and beyond the current pps.
