Yes, you are correct that holding companies can have publicly traded subsidiaries (i.e., majority owned). However, "Just depends how they set things up" isn't quite the right answer. "WHOLLY OWNED" means that the parent company owns 100% of the stock of the subsidiary. That means that there are no shares trading publicly. There is no way around that - it is as basic as corporate law gets.

Again, there are only two possibilities here.

1. The parent's statement in the January 24 PR is incorrect.

or

2. The IMusic Worldwide subsidiary is not traded under IMWL.

Since I don't own IMWL and don't intend to buy it, except maybe for a quick trade, I'm not likely to bother calling anyone to find out which of #1 or #2 above is the case. However, it seems to me that one of you guys who owns a lot of IMWL might want to call to find out what exactly you own. Be sure to report back.
