Would be helpful here to have the legal types explain a little on how trial dates get set. Is it as strange to you all as it is to me that MNTA goes from filing for expedited discovery ASAP to a trial date of 2013? Why would MNTA go for this, or is it out of their hands?

I’m not a lawyer, but I think I know the answer.

MNTA’s lawsuit was primarily intended to get Teva to shut the f*ck up and stop pretending to have a serious Lovenox program. I commented on this motivation for the lawsuit in #msg-57304268.

Thus, the lawsuit has already served its primary purpose insofar as Teva is no longer speaking publicly about Lovenox. The rest of the case is a sideshow, IMHO.
