It seems that some specialized websites showed interest in the products of this company. This is the year 2009.

Just when I thought companies could not come up with new ways to use acai, it looks like a new gum is coming out: ACAI Plus Anti-Oxidant Chewing Gum. It is manufactured by Heathrow Natural Food & Beverage, Inc (“Heathrow”). The nutritional labeling and ingredient statements are now complete, and soon we will be seeing this new product in the marketplace.
Heathrow is saying that it will be the strongest anti-oxidant gum in the market (not that I know of any other anti-oxidant gums on the market). The company has also stated that the National Food Laboratory has certified its potent anti-oxidant qualities. Heathrow is planning to deliver over 6 million units of its products under the Super Food Brand over the next 12 months, including its acai chewing gum, a resveratrol gum, and natural fruit bars.

Heathrow has also stated that it will provide roughly one million units of its acai gum at the 2010 World Cup Games in South Africa starting in June of 2010. I am interested to see if the gum’s flavor tastes as good as the juice. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if this idea will take off.
