Yea, you get the gist of what I was saying. As for the difficulty of getting ad agencies to buy the idea. I cannot imagine it would be too difficult if you go after the right company. If you just got paid for the number of clicks to their web site, I wouldn't want to pay for that either (too much possible manipulation).

If on the other hand you got paid to get people to click on a tv commercial type ad that lasted say 15 seconds, it would be more like demand advertising. Market it like having your own TV show (infomercial) on the internet. Nobody turns the channel to watch a commercial, but in effect, they are turning the channel to watch this. There is huge value in even tying your potential customer down and forcing them to watch your commercial. TV commercials are bathroom and running to get a beer breaks. By contrast, these almost guarantee a viewer.

Now that you are "intrigued" with the idea, should you land a real advertiser like a Mercedes commercial, don't cut your profits by limiting them to one click a day. Instead, offer say 6 different commercials by the same company. For example, one commercial is general showing a car handling twists and turns on the Autoban and end with a good slogan. Next, one gives you a tour of the inside.... you get the idea. Each commercial can say, click to continue. At that point, you can get the agency to be willing to pay for 6 commercials to the same person - all at increasingly discounted prices if you need.
