Not 100% certain. I am looking over patent information for others places here:

There are links for patent system info for places such as indonesia, thailand, philipines, india etc.....

so far the first one I looked at for indonesia says:

Mathematical formulae
Living creatures, (except micro-organism)

I don't think that is the same as in the china info I posted. I am still looking at the other.
