No, not "falling for the ruse". Is it YOUR judgement one cares about the humanitarian cause in Libya because of the pol party who proposed it? Following that train of thought, those who don't vote a certain way probably don't also have humanitarian concerns - which is patently untrue, as you know.
I gotta tell you, to suggest humanitarian concerns are driven by a political idology did give me a good laugh - so thanks.
What is a real concern for me is the US continues to jump into military missions inspite of the fact that BOTH PARTIES continue to claim the US is broke, which cannot possibly be true...
This today from The Wash Post:
"The cost of a Tomahawk missile is $1 million and in the first four days of the mission 162 were launched at Libyan targets. An F-15E fighter plane that went down cost $30 million. Maintaining a no-fly zone over Libya could cost $30 million to $100 million a week, according to defense experts. Fuel for aircraft and tankers add to the tally."
We've been told by one pol party the US cannot afford healthcare for its citizens, yet somehow we CAN afford military escapades costing $30 million to $100 million A WEEK - and that's the price tag if we only maintain a no-fly mission over Libya and do not put boots on the ground. Please!!! How stupid do those pols who claim we can't afford healthcare think we are anyhow?
Don't complain for what you don't have - be thankful you don't get what you deserve.
