reasonable questions w answers
will always get answered
the only thing that hasn't happened yet, and that does not mean it won't, is the 50/50 partnership w the bank in the DR
but i don't know, that, perhaps the funding source might have changed all that or the deal is still in the works
that, to the best of my knowledge, is the only unfinished business.
i imagine that any such deal would require a lot of number crunching and would have a lot of lawyers involved
i inquired once, couple of months ago, but Val could not release any details
at the time the pr stated that otow was entering into a partnership w a well known Dominican bank and that they would be co existing, which i thought was/is a great move, in certain locales and that the bank would be used to help the customers be able to do business w otow and to simplify the billing process
in other words the billing would be simplified as many of the people in the DR use this particular bank
and of course sharing 'outlet' space would be less expensive for both of them and therefore mutually beneficial to all concerned
As far as employees are concerned there are a few helping Val out, but in the telecom bus much of the work is contracted out, so it is not financially prudent to have a work force getting paid w little to do
there was a recent pr i believe the one that announced the Palm Coast deal which stated that otow would be hiring 50 people from the Palm area to set up the initial home base
matter of fact the Palm Coast Observer mentioned this fact and how mutually beneficial otow would be for the city as otow would be leasing the fiber optic line the city has already laid our and also because Val and otow would be generating employment and therefore all the things which go along w that, to the city of Palm Coast
one more point
