fibonnaci-CAFTA stands for Central American Free Trade Agreement. It is similar to NAFTA(North American Free Trade Agreement) If CAFTA is pasted and signed by the presidents it will do away with tarrifs on many items being imported from Central American. Since CYDS factory is in Central American this will make their garments much more competitive. Right now China since Jan. is flooding the marker with apparel since all quota's have been lifted on China as of Jan. 05. The Bush administration is considering reimposing quota's o China and is really pushing for CAFTA. The vote on CAFTA will happen between now and June. This may be a small reason for the action in CYDS but I think something else is going on. CYDS has a a major asset that is flying under the radar. It has around an 110 million dollar loss carry forward. Obviously to used this they have to have profits or aquire another company that is very profitable. IMO this 110 mill LCF is worth .25 on the dollar in the right situation. There is only around 12 million shares outstanding and the float is 7.5 million. The CEO/Chairman of the board(Bernard Manual) owns around 40% of the company. Clearly Bernard is up to something. CYDS has moved up from .38 to .60 in the past six trading days on Big Time value while the overall market has tanked big time..I have no insider information, but something is going on. I hope this helps. Obviously, perform your own DD.
