Back in 2007, Bangladesh, a country of 156 million people, resolved to DIGITALLY REGISTERED all of its voters. They started on August 14, 2007 using state-of-the-art technology to digitally fingerprint/iris-scan all of their eligible voters, and finished on July 9, 2008, about 11 months later.

Upon completing this titanic registration project, it appeared that Bangladesh had 91.5 million voters. However, election officials next used powerful computer systems to test and compare all 91.5 million voter records; this quality control effort removed a whopping 11 million duplicate and/or fraudulent records. Therefore, they actually went into the National Election of December 29, 2008 with 80.5 million, rather than 91.5 million, Registered Voters.

On election day, the voters were free to vote at any polling place of their choosing in Bangladesh. But once a person voted, the computer system locked them out from being able to vote a 2nd time. Moreover, the number of workers required to staff the polls was reduced by an astounding 80% ... !!!
