These chimney sweep logs aren't what they are cracked up to be. Nothing takes the place of once-yearly chimney sweeping. A chimney fire it too potentially dangerous to leave it up to these things, IMO.

edit: oops ... I read the Chimney Safety group's review after I posted. Looks like you already figured that out!
