Oh yes. The stock in question is SMMT. The company's been dead for nearly a decade, but since it never had registered stock, the ticker continued to trade now and then. Someone(s) pumped and dumped it bigtime last November. Last week they decided to try to run it again. To aid their efforts they incorporated it in Nevada (in reality, it has no legitimate incorporation anywhere) and whipped up a fake website.
Their big mistake was to name a very prominent British scientist as president.
The RA who handled the incorporation is beyond sleazy. He told the scientist that "the last thing he suspected" was that he was being given false information.
...by a guy calling himself "Mike", with no last name, whose address was a mail drop. He paid by Western Union.
