They are likely using theoretical data. I'm not sure the exact interpretation any more, but it 'calculates' this value based on OHLC of the various stocks which constitute the index. This way, they don't need an actual feed for the data.

Anyway, as you can see, its not the best way to do things, but can - on occasion - yield some insight.
