Buying Opportunty:

Tragic of the events that occurred over in japan, but the current sell off can result in buying opportunities. Definitely have my hands full shorting and buying so much stuff I'm almost out of funds. Didn't think the day would come when I would use all my available funds like this.

Companies to put your dollar bills in?

Well japan has to rebuild eventually so industrial companies should do nicely there.

Due to incident regarding nuclear plants, coal & natural gas companies should do well since sentiment of nuclear energey is iffy with people. Wouldn't think much as regards to wind and solar because they can't repliacte the resouces nuclear provides.

Platinum and palladium took a tumble but great for long term as they are used in industrial metals for auto's.

Don't forget about oil, great also. Prices also rose on the expectation that Japan will boost fuel imports as its refineries and factories recover from the earthquake and tsunami disaster.
