I had the same problem each time I looked at RGLD.

I guess the bottom line is that the action is what folks want. It is like when I was a broker and I had an Arab customer that loved action. At the time (pre civil war), pork bellies was the best action there was, so we played it daily even though he supposedly was prohibited from having anything to do with pork. Whenever we discussed the contracts, he would refer to them as "Kangaroo futures" or some other euphemism.

When dealing in something I know little about, I am too conservative and will stick with the ones that are easier to understand.
