Agreed...the powers-that-be...who are about as believable as the majority of PennyStock CEO's (AEC, DoD, nuke industry corporations, operators & the political hacks that support them) have a consistent & deplorable history of under-reporting & outright 'cover-up', bordering on criminality...even the pumpers at CNBC should cower in shame (even as we speak...those Bozos are preaching on how to profit from this tragegy...disgusting). Who knows how bad this 'really' is...they do, but I feel sure (based on their long history of lies) they're not giving us the whole story. I don't understand these creeps...it isn't like we're not going to find-out the 'truth' eventually (as is usually the case)...in the meantime, they could save many lives...if only they knew how to be 'truthful' & live-up to their over-riding obligations to humanity. 3Mile Island, Hanford contamination, Chernoble, the 'real' facts about nuke waste disposal. Even our own military is guilty (in no small measure) of gross neglect. In one (of many) glaring example, they use the waters off the Farallon Islands (near San Francisco) as a dumping grounds for high level nuke disposal...out of sight, out of mind. The highly irradiated carcasses of several decommissioned nuke submarines & 100's of barrels of hi-level nuke waste, contained in regular old 55gallon steel drums...already known to be leaking...makes you wonder who's side they're on anyway. It might be a good idea to take a geiger counter with you when buying fish at the wharf.
I recall there being heated debate (low-key Japanese style) in Japan many years ago in regards to setting-up these nuke facilities. They (more than anyone else on the planet) obviously have a 1st-hand knowledge of the severe hazards & repercussions that the use of nukes provide. I wouldn't be surprised if (hopefully), Japan re-thinks this whole thing now & chooses to shut-down the remainder of these insedious monsters once & for all....& I sincerely hope the world follows suit. The 'fact' is: nukes are not friendly to children & all living things...& that's the long & short of it.
