We've had at least 50 Headlines, just too many at once. Put this in perspective by dividing them into smaller portions over many days, and we average about 3-4 headlines from CCME each trading day since February 7.
There were 18 FAQ's and 10 Responses to named Allegations in the Chairman's letter, plus one very comprehensive Global Hunter report, let me suggest to you that CCME has actually issued a press release every single trading day since February 7, 2011.
The Global Hunter report was highly responsive to the more recent allegations and offered no less than 12 (twelve) independent headlines: GH named L'Oreal, China Telecom, Coke, verified cash, verified over 1/2 the companies with not one glitch (making it almost statistically impossible for there to be any funny business), and confirmed information gathering for Deloitte audit was in progress, confirmed bus numbers, confirmed three years of tax filings, verified no less than 16 to advertising clients, met Starr, met management, and confirmed Eading. That's 40 headlines right there.
Add on to that the profound debunking by many thoughtful contributors using their brains and the exceptional visually illustrative Xanga site with updates as though those are releases too. No less than 10 more headlines:
"MW forged a spreadsheet", "MW mistranslated bus numbers", "MW fabricated bus company documents", "phone call missing two minutes", "Intent of lady on call different than presented by MW", "MW has no active office", "Chimin forged documents", "SAIC and SEC need not match", "Deloittewatch.com is down for good"; "We are working on the audit" and "We can't talk to you because our lawyers wont let us until everything is approved by five layers at Deloitte:, and "our PR advisors tell us not to come forward until we can issue a statement that hits everything out of the park". That makes 50.
Beyond just these, I am sure you all can see plenty of independently informative newsworthy headlines or FUD-debunking specifics, any one of which could be added to this list. Would not be surprised if you could even double the list to 100 individually announceable headlines by just fumbling through Xanga, the more recently appearing Institutional Ownership filings, and the rest of the GH report.
That would come to about 3-4 head lines per day over the last 28 trading days since Feb 7.
Point is one of perspective. It's not like the company has not told us anything. Their story is quite clear.
Meanwhile we know CCME cannot talk until they are 100% done. Then, on Earnings Day, CCME will launch a MIRV over the shorts which will open in mid-air and annihilate them with multiple separate warheads. The interim silence to build this weapon of mass destruction will prove good for longs, bad for the shorts.
