I have a lot of faith in the DEC. I'm saying the permits would be completely different, please provide info on the emissions, no way they are clean, costs too much money for filters, scrubbers etc... Incineration also produces a lot of waste, far more than JBI does currently. Please provide your stats so we can do a comparison of emissions and waste produced.
You seem to be saying burning is better for the environment than converting plastic into fuel and which produces far lest waste and infinitely far less emissions, am I right?
I think the DEC prefers JBI, as would most if given the facts relating to both processes.
Using other processes for garbage, I would support, they are costly, need to be subsidized, but those that produce very little in the way of environmental damage are hugely expensive, there is one being built on the west coast for $500 million, a few other are asking for $100 million and more to start building. It's worth it for the environment, but having plastic going directly to JBI is better.
