Wal-Mart "Keeps" April Sales View-WTF with 2-4%+??

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT) on Saturday said it still expects a 0 percent to 2 percent increase in April U.S. sales at stores open at least one year.

In a recorded message, Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, said general merchandise sales were better than food sales and the Northeast was the strongest performing region in the week ended Friday.

Average ticket, or the amount purchased per shopping trip, drove comparative-store sales for the week.
