Saudi Arabia's ruling council has started protests by Shiites in the small town of Hofuf. The Associated Press reports about 100 people demonstrated after Friday prayers March 4. Two days later, clerics issued a statement outlawing protests in Saudi Arabia. The move banning demonstrations comes following two weeks of small protests
