it was originally scheduled to become
effective in oct 2010 .. suspect the
whiners *whined* .. new deadline was
then pushed out to feb 28th 2011 ..

suggestion for all .. there are links

this info came up from a search of the sec
(for some reason i was thinking nov 2010
was the original deadline .. but i read so
many blurbs from both finra and the sec and
most of the time it's like reading tax code)

i'd also strongly suggest folks contact finra
directly at the phone no. listed in the link
re: specific questions

calls eventually are returned .. and if info
isn't known initially .. answers are sought
from the appropriate end .. it may take a while
but it's worth it imo depending on the nature of
the question .. it took me over a year to finally
get a *consistent* answer out of the sec re: FTDS
being MIA on certain OTC co.s .. turns out they
exist all right .. they just don't have to be reported
