TEAR is the latest incarnation of OCCX/RHEO, which was spun off from the LASIK-procedure company called TLCV that went bankrupt in 2009 (#msg-44751578). Those who have been reading this board for a long time will recognize the OCCX and RHEO symbols as those of a company that made wild claims about a bogus treatment for dry AMD. The company now purports to have expertise in diagnostics for ordinary dry eye (not related to AMD).
