I am responding to your post about the Biggs Mine, also in Inyo County.

"The company plans to conduct exploration, including drilling, on several targets during 1995."

Canyon Resources was traded on the NASDAQ but is now part of Atna Resources Ltd.

Appears they got into trouble due to failure to control dust and mining was halted.
The Biggs Mine closed in 2004 but they are working to re-open new areas using previous permits.

More problems:
Canyon failed on passing I-147, the company has claimed to be researching cyanide-free mining methods in hopes to continue their work.

James Hesketh, President and CEO, states, "The Briggs Mine sold approximately 25,100 ounces of gold in 2010 generating revenues in excess of US$30 million. The original areas of the Briggs Mine played out and they needed to start exploring.
