Dr. Gladys Gossett Hankins owns her own consulting company, Telora Victor, Inc. Before starting her own company, she was the Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity for Procter & Gamble. During her tenure at Procter & Gamble Company Hankins held various clerical, administrative, secretarial positions until 1975. She was then promoted to management performing a series of assignments at locations in Kansas City, Kansas, Baltimore, Maryland and now Cincinnati, Ohio. Between 1975 and 1986, Dr. Hankins held such management positions as Employee Services Manager, Production Planning Manager, Manufacturing Department Manager, Public Affairs Manager and Adjunct Professor of Personnel Management at Rockhurst College at Kansas City, Missouri. From 1986 to the present, Dr. Hankins held other management positions that included Human Resources Manager, Employee Relations/Industrial Relations Manager, a special assignment to lead a major division-wide multi-day diversity conference, Senior Management Consultant, Senior Employee Relations Manager and Senior Organizational Effectiveness Manager.
Since 1980 Hankins has done training and consulting in such areas as Designer and Facilitator of Diversity and Organizational Effectiveness Workshops and conducted an American Management Associates Seminar entitled "How Successful Women Manage" at Rockhurst College. She has done consulting work in several major corporations and public and private organizations in managing diversity that include the Procter & Gamble Company, New England Bell Telephone Company, New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, Channel Seven, the Urban League, the University of Chicago, K.C. Power & Light Company, Mountaintop Ventures, Neighborhood Housing Association, M2SE/University of Cincinnati, Franciscan Hospital at West Park, Greater Cincinnati Urban League, as well as other U.S. Cities, Canada, Japan, Europe and Latin America.
Dr. Hankins has received outstanding awards and recognitions between 1973 and 1999. Those awards and recognitions included Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, recipient of the "Wall Street Journal Award", selected as one of "50 Most Influential Women" of Kansas City, honored as a "Black Achiever in Industry" by Southern Christian Leadership Conference, received Key to the City of Kansas City for Civic Contributions, honored as a "Black Achiever" by YMCA of Cincinnati, Ohio, and honored with the "Leading Women" Award by a consortium of women's organizations in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hankins has been and is involved in several other activities and affiliations. These include committee member of the Kansas City - KS Chamber of Commerce, a Loan Executive of United Way, Board of Directors member of NAACP of Kansas City, Board of Directors member of Urban League of Kansas City, Board of Directors member of Urban League of Baltimore, Board of Trustees member of the Urban League of Cincinnati, Board of Directors member of West Park Retirement Community, Franciscan Health Systems at Cincinnati, member of the Executive Council of Mercy Health Partners, President of Telora Victor, Inc. - a consulting and publishing company and author of "Diversity Blues" and "How to Shake 'em" which was released in November 2000.
Dr. Gladys Gossett Hankins holds a Ph.D. Degree in Organizational Behavior and Development from the Union Institute at Cincinnati, Ohio. She is currently divorced and has two daughters.
