Well, I'm out. I scrambled to transfer my Merrill account to a decent brokerage once I found out Merrill wouldn't allow me to participate in the rights offering unless my account was valued at $25,000 or more. Scottrade was very helpful in setting up the transfer and starting the ACATS so that my NEPH holdings would arrive in my new account in time. Unfortunately, Merrill had to screw me one last time - they transferred the shares of NEPH, but they flatly refused to transfer NEPRT - the rights offering. They said these were worthless securities and even Scottrade could not convince them to transfer these "worthless" assets to my new account. So, thanks a bunch Merrill Lynch, you syphilitic sons of motherless goats. I hope you burn like Bear, you miserable scumf*ck b@st@rds.
