You talk about union, or government repetition, and I am talking about American corporations that are handed down from one generation to the next, the only thing unions ever did was to take on american corporations and make them provide a reasonable living in what was referred to as sweatshop labor, or precisely what America is going back into. There is no level playing field when you are just an individual against the the big corporate machine. There is no protection on anything, and that is saddest part of these past 10 years.
Most American workers just want a liveable pay and benefit package, and a level playing field when it cmes to loans, investments or survuving in this competitive society. Sadly we have become a nation of the extremely rich and powerful, and the individual fighting to stay alive.
When it comes to education, that was destroyed 40 years ago when the first cutbacks were announced, America might spend more on Education but it never gets into most classrooms, I remember that part when books and desks became the last priority of the classroom.
Maybe thats why so many other nations are ahead of America when it comes to education and an advancements, like solar, high speed rails, and soon the quality of life. Met some friends this past summer who had just finished there travels, they are selling everything and will be living abroad, I am thinking about doing the same. America has become to divided to get ahead, so why bother.
